Practices |
| 1. |
Keep food out of the gym, drinks with screw
on caps are OK, but if they come with a player, they must leave with the
player. |
| 2. |
You must have separate shoes for the gym and
the field. |
|
YOU WILL NOT WEAR SPIKES OR MUDDY SHOES IN
THE BUILDING. TAKE 'EM OFF!!! |
| 3. |
You must be prepared to go outside EVERYDAY!
Bring your gear... if you don't have it, you'll go outside without it or get
an unexcused absence. |
| 4. |
You are expected to be in the gym or at the
bus ready to go at the start of practice/play - that means you better be
early instead of late. |
| 5. |
Everyone is expected to help with equipment.
(coaches not included!) |
| 6. |
Listen to all coaches all the time: do not
talk when they are talking. |
| 7. |
Support your teammates at all times: this is
NOT an individual sport! |
| 8. |
Arrange for your rides to pick you up on
time - this is key for away games.
Players MUST have a ride to pick them up after away games - call on the bus
ride home so there is a car waiting when we get to school! this will be
enforced and players will have consequences for not having prompt rides! |
|
|
|
Games |
| 1. |
Be on time and ready to go. (Complete
uniform with shoes on, shirt tucked in, all personal equipment you'll need
with you ... mitt, bat, etc.) |
| 2. |
Jewelry is illegal during games, so to speak,
so get rid of it BEFORE game time. (See #1 above) |
| 3. |
Players will not socialize with non-team
members (including parents) during the game. This includes warm-ups
... focus on the game! ** Parents, unless it's an emergency, you WILL
get your player pulled from the game if you try to talk to them.**
Your comments are not needed during a game, they can wait until the game is
over. |
| 4. |
Riding the bus to and from games is not
optional. If for some reason you need to ride home with YOUR parent,
you must notify your coach ahead of time. Otherwise you will ride on
the bus with your team. |
| 5. |
Bus etiquette: follow bus rules and know that
you will pick up the bus as you are leaving so that there is no trash left
on the bus. |
| 6. |
There is NEVER a reason for a player, or
parents, to demonstrate poor sportsmanship. Players shake hands after
games and will be respectful to opposing teams, coaches and umpires. |
|
|
|
Miscellaneous |
| 1. |
Players are responsible for equipment and
uniforms issued to them for the season. If it was damaged or lost, the
player will pay to have them replaced. |
| 2. |
Injuries occurring in a practice or game
should be reported to your coach immediately. This is for your well
being. If you need to see your doctor, you must have a doctor's
release to practice or play. |
| 3. |
Players leave through the athletic complex,
not academic areas. |
| 4. |
PLAYING TIME IS NOT GUARANTEED. It
is the coach's decision as to who plays and how much. Everyone will
not get equal playing time ... if a player has a problem on the team,
whether it's playing time or some other issue, this is the chain of command
to follow: |
|
Chain of Command |
|
● The player (not parent) takes up
issue with her level coach. |
|
● If the player is not satisfied with the
resolution, she (not parent) will talk to the level coach and the head coach. |
|
● If there is still not satisfaction, then
parent and player can come in for a meeting with the level coach, head coach
and the Athletic Director. |
